Be A Blessing: Avail's Commitment to Community Service

At Avail, our dedication to service extends far beyond our warehouse walls. We believe in the power of supporting the communities where we work and live. This quarter, we are proud to have partnered with Bright Blessings, a wonderful non-profit organization based in Charlotte. Bright Blessings is dedicated to bringing joy, support, and essential resources to homeless and impoverished children and families in the community.

About Bright Blessings

Bright Blessings works tirelessly to ensure that every child feels valued and celebrated, regardless of their circumstances. Their programs provide birthday celebrations, care packages, and essential services designed to improve the lives and well-being of those in need. Their mission is beautifully shown in their informative video, which highlights the significant impact they have on the community.

Avail’s Involvement

Our team at Avail had the privilege of participating in Bright Blessings' impactful programs, ‘Bless a Birthday’ and ‘Bless a Baby’. These initiatives make sure that children and families who might otherwise miss out on key celebrations have the chance to experience joy and receive much-needed supplies.

• Bless a Birthday: This initiative focuses on celebrating the birthdays of children in need. Our team helped create and package birthday kits, complete with decorations, treats, and gifts, ensuring that every child has a memorable and joyful birthday celebration.
• Bless a Baby: Recognizing the unique needs of infants and their families, this program provides essential baby items, care packages, and resources to support the health and happiness of the youngest members of our community. Our team assembled and delivered these care packages, which include diapers, clothing, and other necessities.

Making a Difference

The dedication and hard work of our employees played a crucial role in supporting these initiatives. With 28 volunteers, our team contributed in several meaningful ways:

• Cake Kits: We assembled and packed birthday cake supplies to ensure every child can enjoy a special treat on their birthday.
• Handmade Wrapping Paper: Bright Blessings often struggles to keep enough birthday-themed wrapping paper in stock, and it’s also very expensive. Our team hand-drew fun birthday wrapping paper, adding a personal and creative touch to the celebrations.
